Q. Where will the bus pick us up?

A. Pick up varies by tour. For many tours, the first pickup will be at the Kohl’s store, 2025 W. State St. in Alliance, and the second pickup will be at Fishers Foods, 8100 Cleveland Ave. NW, North Canton. If your group charters a bus, you can choose the pickup points.

What is included in the fee?

A. Our motto is Sip, Sample and Shop. We cover the sipping and sampling, you cover the shopping. The fee also includes the bus ride, tours and talks, and several surprises and prizes.

Q. How much food is included?

A. Our tours include treats on the bus as well as snacks and meals at restaurants and shops.  Unless you are in training for an Iron Man race, you’ll be full by the end of any of our tours.

Q. What should I wear?

A.  Be comfortable, dress in layers. And while stilettos and Grecian sandals are super sexy, we recommend sensible walking shoes for our tours. We won’t be walking far, usually only a block or two, but you will be on your feet occasionally throughout the day.

Q. What should I bring?

A. Because all our tours include a stop at the West Side Market, we recommend bringing a cooler with ice pack to store perishable purchases. You will need cash for shopping at the West Side Market, but our other venues accept credit cards.

Q. How can I pay for my reservation?

A. We prefer personal checks by mail. Credit card orders will be charged a $3 fee.

Q. Must I reserve in advance?

A. Yes, we must receive payment 14 days in advance, so we can notify eateries and shops how many to expect.

Q. What if it rains?

A. Tours go on, rain or shine. We might cancel in case of volcanic eruption, or if fewer than 20 sign up for a tour. In which case, we will promptly refund your money.

Q. Will I receive tickets?

A. No tickets needed. Once you speak to us to complete your reservation, you are on the roster.

Q. If I cancel, can I get a refund?

A. We will offer a full refund, less a processing fee, if you cancel 14 days or more before an event. If you cancel 7-13 days before an event, we will issue you a voucher for the full amount paid, less a processing fee, to be applied to a future Foodie Field Trip. If you cancel 6 days or less before the trip, we will issue a voucher for 50 % of the amount paid, to be applied to a future Foodie Field Trip.

Q. Can I bring children?

A. We love kids, but our tours include walking, standing, listening and shopping, which might be boring to the younger set. So we don’t recommend our tours for those under 14.

Q. Can I book a tour for a private group, organization or business?

A. Absolutely. In most cases, we can tailor the tour to meet your group’s special interests.

Q. Will there be restrooms available?

A. Yes, there is a restroom on our bus, and at several locations during the day.

Q.  Can I do your tour if I have a cane or walker?

A. Yes. Tremont/Slavic Village  and the As Seen on TV tours have the least amount of walking, and Little Italy has the most.
